Memories from Cairo

Cairo – impressions and memories

We were flying over white soft clouds, which looked like pure snow from above…Suddenly I took my breath deeply from the amazing view I could saw, a deserted large land, all from sands, and waving with little hills…No any single tree or green place your look could find. It was so wonderful, something I haven`t seen before. Amazing land! When I just arrived at the Cairo`s airport, it was late afternoon, around 4 o`clock. I felt a little tired and afraid, especially when I saw many people standing with tables and waiting for someone at the airport. Everyone was looking at me, as if I was a movie star, maybe expecting a familiar face to appear. I also expected my friend; I turned my head, observing the hall, my heart was beating strongly, I was thinking, "How does he look like? Maybe he is seeing me now from somewhere?" I was afraid, but I forgot everything in the moment he came and hugged me, took me gently in his arms…We saw each other for a first time, but how close I felt to him, even at a first sight! I felt so warm and nice inside me, as we have been friends since long time. I was very excited and shocked at the same time from all around me. I have landed in a different world, one magical and colorful culture, which made me hypnotized and dizzy. Many people, crowded streets, men and women with long dresses, moving directly on the streets…I wondered there were no traffic lights, no driving rules, everyone was traveling or moving in his own way. Most women were covered with long dark clothes, showing only their eyes, or even eyes are hard to be seen! I felt so impressed from that! Mosques were everywhere, voices of the prayers, traffic jam: one big mess. Men looking like Jews
